The family-owned hotel lies in Thamel, which is like one large market comprising the entire neighbourhood, 2.4 km from such cultural sights as the Judda Art gallery "National Museum of Nepal".

The hotel is only 350 metres from Pranamaya Yoga Studio and within reach of the Kathmandu Durbar Square. The Lo Mustang Kathmandu offers proximity to family venues such as the Kathmandu Funpark (1.8 km) and the 6 - hectare Central Zoo (4.6 km).
